imageiRobot Combo Review

Combo is the first mop by iRobot and vacuum robot. It's also its best-looking. The brushed aluminum top and iRobot Logo are more sophisticated than the loud designs of competitors.

You can use the iRobot Home app to set up and guide your robot. The app tracks data about usage and maps of your house including furniture and obstacles. Maps and image data is only shared with iRobot if you opt-in.

It's not a mop.

The combo irobot (from www.ksja.co.kr) is a very smart mopping robot that takes all the features of the fantastic roomba irobot J7+ and includes an onboard water reservoir, a small mopping pad, and a handy robot arm that raises and lowers the pad. It can do a great deal of work in just 111 minutes, before it gets power cut off and returns to its base station to recharge.

The model comes with the iRobot home app, which means you can start and stop cleaning runs. The robot is also stylish with its matte black finish that does not display dust or fingerprints, and a brushed aluminium top piece with a tiny iRobot Logo.

It does an excellent job of vacuuming, with no issues traversing over large area rugs and transition strips between flooring surfaces. It is able to pick up fine dust that other robotic vacuums don't. It's not the best buy irobot in mowing. It's not able to completely eliminate dried milk stains, for instance, unless you send it out several times.

IRobot's specialized Braava Jet M6 mopping machine, which is available in a bundle with the j7 Plus frequently for less than the price of the combo Combo and performs much better at this and other tough jobs. It is also able to remove ketchup and wine spills, but I wouldn't recommend it following any liquids with a high amount of sugar.

It's an air vacuum

It's also among the better-looking robot vacuums, with a smooth top piece that doesn't display dust and fingerprints as easily as competitors. Its tiny water tank and dustbin are easy to open and close however they're not the most efficient in terms of capacity. The Combo J7+ also comes with the smarts you are used to from irobot models with features like map and obstacle avoidance mapping that works efficiently and quickly. The mopping arm is the thing that makes this model stand out in its category. It keeps the mop pad hidden away on top of the vacuum, however, when it recognizes a surface that needs mopping, it lowers the pad underneath and behind the robot. This is a major improvement over other robot vacuums which require you to remove the mop pads to clean hard floors or carpets manually. You can even shut off the entire unit for mopping.

It's an electric charging station.

Place your Combo irobot sale on the changing station, and then align the metal contacts on the base. The charging station is simple to set up and performs well. During my tests, it took the robot just a few minutes to charge and then make a noise when it was finished. Once the Combo Irobot is fully charged, you can begin a mapping run in the app to help it understand your home. You can also mark certain items such as lamp cords, as permanent avoidances in the app. You can also connect Alexa or Google Assistant to your robot to allow commands with your voice to navigate around your home.

It's a smart device

Combo irobots use acoustic and onboard sensors to discover the type of floor they're navigating and the objects that are in your home. It then combines this information with maps of your space and image data from the robot's camera to create a personalized cleaning plan for each room. This allows it to be smart enough to keep your lamp cords, sofas and other objects you wish to keep intact. As with any connected device there are concerns about the security of these data. iRobot, however, says that it will never sell any customer data and that no images are taken without the consent of customers.
