iRobot That Vacuums and Mops in Your Home
Many robots that vacuum and mop struggle to navigate homes that have lots of rugs and thresholds. But the iRobot Combo j7 has an advanced navigation system and mapping that makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture.

It is designed smartly with a small footprint and a clean base. The mop comes with a small reservoir of water as well as a robotic arm that lifts and lowers the mop. A sensor at the bottom of the mop lets you know when the mop is running low. The robot can navigate well and move around your home without hitting any obstacles. It does struggle with some kinds of carpeting, and may stop working when it detects a rug in its route.
iRobot's own vSlam navigation isn't as precise as other robot vacuums we've test. In our tests the robot moved in what appeared to be random ways before forming an outline of your home. We didn't think this would be a problem in actual use, but it was difficult when trying to create a specific cleaning route.
The iRobot can also detect objects in its way. It uses an PrecisionVision camera to detect cords, toys, shoes and pet waste, which means it can mop around or avoid them. It worked well in our tests and we were awestruck by the amount of pet waste it snuffed out.
When the iRobot is done vacuuming or mopping, it returns to its dock, and empty its dirt compartment into an internal trash bag that

While it's not quite able to clean as well as a dedicated mopping robot, it gets pretty close. You can also begin an entire cleaning session at any time using the app and it will continue exactly where it started.
The Combo J7+ is simple to refill and use unlike some other robots which struggle to keep their water tanks full. The combo vacuum / mop has a tiny combined dust bin and water tank that you can clip from the back of the base. It can accommodate a couple of Bona or their own cleaning solutions and is filled with water from the tap on the bottom. You can also set the bot up to automatically notify you when it's low on water.
