It's not the best cat litter eater, however, with our tests showing it is able to remove around 90 percent of the fur from hard floors.
The basic mopping mode uses the same water reservoir as the vacuuming mode. This is great for spills that aren't too serious, but you cannot limit the amount of water that it uses. It is effective in removing pet hair. It has a higher pick-up rate than the Roborock S7.
3. Miele RX2
Known for quietly effective home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum comes with outstanding cleaning power, beautiful design and great navigation. However, it does have some operational hiccups that prevent it from being ranked as the top overall smart robot vacuum.
Like the latest models from iRobot, the RX2 features a dual-sensor mapping system that utilizes a LIDAR sensor to map out a room and a pair of 3D scanning cameras to identify and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real time. Once the room has been defined, you can assign virtual no-go zones and sections that you would like to be the robot. You can also alter the cleaning modes, initiate a manual clean or watch live feeds of the cameras onboard from the main screen.
The RX2 has superior sensors that detect furniture and other obstructions instantly. Its sweeping and suction powers are outstanding, effectively taking away surface debris from carpets of medium pile and also removing embedded dust on floors. However, it's not exactly the most flexible robot available. As with many others it's not a great climber and is prone to problems with things like metal threshold transition strips.

It has more advanced automation than most of its competitors, including the ability to create virtual boundary markers with its mobile app. While its app isn't the most responsive, and the 980 does spin a bit when crossing cables, it's an extremely efficient robot vacuum.
