There are a variety of BMW keyfobs. However they all utilize the same kind of battery that is a CR2450 coin-cell battery. The small round battery is available in most stores for less than $1 per unit. In addition to being readily available, CR2450 batteries are also extremely easy to install and remove from the key fob.
