Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting
Volvo drivers are enthralled by the remote control features of their key fob. They can lock and unlock their car and start the engine, and even locate it with a smartphone application.
First, place the fob onto an uncluttered work surface with the logo facing upwards. Find the button that will let it go. Place a coin between the cover of the fob and the fob, then carefully pull up.
Unlocking the Doors
Volvo's remote keyfobs allow you to unlock your vehicle's doors, tailgate and fuel filler flap with the press of one button. The remote key fobs also turn on the ignition and set off the alarm. With a fingernail, remove the cover on the back of the key fob. A button should be located underneath the cover on an angle that is near the edge of the body. Slide it to the right. The cover will fall off, and then slide off to reveal the manual blade! Closing the Windows
Volvo key fobs feature an option that hides behind them that allows you to instantly open all windows. This is a great feature when trying to squeeze into a tight parking space, or just to get fresh air in the cabin while driving.
Press and hold the unlocking button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof if you have one. Once you're done with your car you can lock everything by pressing the lock button once more for four seconds.
You can also use your key fob to activate your car's panic alarm. This will produce an alarm that is loud enough to draw attention to the car and deter thieves. It also helps you return home safely when you've been out all night. This feature is useful if you live in a dangerous location or want to protect your family while away from home.
Opening the Tailgate
The key fob of Volvo is loaded with a variety of useful features. These are perfect when you're working on grocery shopping or helping your kids pack their sports gear after practice.

Turning off the Alarm

Reconnect the battery, and the alarm will stop. If it doesn't then the owner's manual must include a reset option.
