Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's a major upgrade to CS:GO that will put it on the Source 2 engine.

It also comes with the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It's got a lot of gamers who are a bit naive but it appears to be a huge improvement for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an update that will completely change the way smokes are used in the game. These changes, dubbed responsive smokes, are an important game changer. Smokes will expand to fill in areas and move around the map to move around objects. They will also respond to the lighting in the game, which makes them look better and more realistic. Smokes will also interact with events in the game. This will open up new opportunities for tactical play. Bullets, for instance, will push smoke in order to temporarily clear sightlines. Instead of a 64-tick update every millisecond, Case Revolver CS:GO now uses sub-ticks, or as Valve calls them, "micro ticks", Case revolver to communicate with servers. The client will record each of these tiny increments and transmit them to the server. The server will then transmit the updated game state back to players. The servers will know exactly when you shot, jumped, or peeked.

However it does clarify that each piece of data sent by the client has a date and time and that the server will collect all the information in chronological order from all players before sending it back. According to the video the CS: GO server will now be able to send more than twice the information as a 64-tick server.

This means that even the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz it can still handle your commands immediately. It's not solely about increasing the tick rate, also, micro-tick updates can reduce latency and input lag by ensuring that the server responds to your actions without delays or glitches.

Valve's technical enhancements to the game are only beginning. Valve is using particles and smoke that are dynamic to improve the way smoke interacts with its surroundings. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. All CS: GO cosmetics and weapons will be updated with Source 2 tools and features.

Maps

The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps as well as some classics with facelifts. The updates are being tested in an unspecified beta. The first set includes upgrade and touchstone maps that won't see any major changes in gameplay, while other maps have been completely rebuilt or overhauled using the new Source 2 Tools.
