The ear cups are padded and designed to comfortably fit around your ears. The top of the band that wraps around your neck, is covered in soft leatherette. The band is flexible enough to fit glasses. I found it to be comfortable for long periods of time.
The MOMENTUM Wireless is a balanced headphone unlike ANC headphones that over-emphasize bass or highs. This is a good thing because it provides an accurate representation of the music and speech you listen to. They do tend to veer into the territory of higher frequencies that are boosted but it's a typical characteristic of headphones designed for commuters, in which the outside noise is likely to compete with low-level music as well as speech.
As with other top contenders in the ANC category, the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless Noise Reduction is good. It's not quite as good as the top ANC headphones in our test however, it is close. And, as a bonus, you can defer projects to the next quarter with two clicks, which makes them an excellent option for work or school.
The MOMENTUM Wireless can be connected to an Bluetooth device and you can select between SBC AAC, aptX or codecs. You can also use the headphone's 3.5mm connector to listen to audio sources that don't have Bluetooth support.
The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless comes with an array of microphones that lets you make and receive calls. The microphone does a decent job, but it's not going to give the highest quality audio for phone conversations. The microphone is still better than those on most entry level headphones.
