Best Wireless Headphones For iPhone

imageAn iPhone requires a good pair of headphones. Wireless earbuds are now the norm for smartphones which do not have audio connectors.

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) come with improved ANC, IPX4 ratings and intuitive control via a touchscreen. They are also great for calls and come with a handy case.

1. Encased Thore Headphones V200

The Encased Thore V200 is a great pair of headphones that has a Lightning connector and an iPhone port. They provide a great listening experience for a low cost. These headphones are simple to fold and store, unlike many other headphones. They also feature a soft, padded headband for long listening sessions. Additionally they come with a protective case that shields the headphones even when they are not being used.

The headphones have a great look, with black and chrome accents that give them a nice modern and contemporary style. They're also lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended durations. The earcups are closed back and block out the sound of the outside however they aren't as efficient as a pair of noise-canceling headphones. The headphones have an aux port on the left earcup which is ideal for plugging in other audio devices. On the right earcup, you'll find controls for volume, power and a MicroUSB charging port. While we like the fact that these headphones come with a Lightning connector as well as an iPhone port but we're disappointed that they don't have USB-C support.

The headphones are designed for DJs and headphones other professionals in music They're made of top-quality components that provide an excellent listening experience. The headphones feature Neodymium drivers that provide strong, precise audio. You will be able to hear all frequencies of your favorite music with these headphones. They feature a large diaphragm that provides excellent bass response.

The Thore V200 headphones share many of the same features with Apple's AirPods. They also come with a compact portable case that fits easily into your bag. The headphones have an inbuilt microphone to take calls, so you can stay connected with friends. The headphones skullcandy have a Lightning connector that allows you to connect your iPhone or iPad. They also come with an adapter so you can use them on older devices. The headphones have a decent battery life of 40 hours, which means you can enjoy your favourite tunes for a long time before they need a recharge.

2. Sony WH-1000XM5 Headphones

Sony's WH-1000XM5 headphones are an update to the top-of-the-line over-ears that were introduced in 2017. The new headphones are minimalistic with a sleek and slim headband, earcups that are circular, and a polished metallic finish. These are seriously lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

The new model comes with the same excellent noise cancelling and is augmented with four beamforming microphones that allow hands-free calls. Location awareness is a notable improvement, as it adjusts the settings for ambient sound according to where you are. If you're sitting still at home, they might change to a less subtle noise cancelling setting than when you're on the train to work. They can also pipe in additional outside sound to help you stay aware of your environment on walks around town.

Multipoint is another feature that lets you connect headphones to two devices at once. This is a great feature if you would like to listen to music on your laptop while taking calls on your phone at the same time. Multipoint isn’t disabled by default, but you can enable it using the Headphones Connect App's System tab. The downside is that once you enable multipoint, you'll can't use the high-quality Bluetooth LDAC codec.

Like the WH-1000XM4s prior to it, the Sony WH-1000XM5's touch controls let you control music playback and take calls. Swipe up and down on the touchpad to skip tracks or back and forth to pause and restart playback. The right ear cup has physical buttons for volume and power.

If you own an iPhone you can customize the headphones with Siri commands and gain access to additional features such as personal assistants, sleep timer and battery meter. Sony has also added voice prompts that will guide you through all the functions of the headphones. However, I found them to be a bit tinny for a lot of users.

The WH-1000XM5s' battery life of 30 hours with noise cancellation on is similar to the previous generation, and 40 hours without it is just shy of what competitors are offering. The headphones also come with soft carrying cases that shields them from scratches, dust impact, and water damage.

3. Shure Aonic 3 In-Ear Headphones

Shure is a brand that has been trusted in the audio industry for a number of years, especially when it comes to professional monitor earphones. Their latest earphones, called the Aonic 3, are no exception. These compact, Headphones small earbuds offer an excellent audio quality and are simple to pair with your music player or smartphone. The earbuds have one balanced driver which creates a huge soundstage. They also provide excellent noise isolation which allows you to concentrate on the music without distractions. Despite being smaller than their predecessors, they are still a great fit for most users and are comfortable to wear for hours for hours.

The Aonic 3 is unique in its design. They are built to be a modular product that can be connected to an adapter for wireless (sold separately). This allows you to switch between cable and wireless connections as your listening needs change. This flexibility is a welcome upgrade to an already superb pair of headphones.

Aonic's equalizer is another standout feature. Contrary to other earphones which only offer preset equalizer settings, Shure has included a manual 4-band equalization panel. It provides detailed frequency gain, gain, and bandwidth data for the high shelf, low shelf, and two parametric bands. This allows audio professionals to tweak their audio to perfection before saving their own custom presets. The earphones in the Aonic 3 are connected to each other by downward-facing MMCX connectors. They can rotate 360 degrees and accommodate different ear tips to ensure a comfortable, secure fit. They also attach to each other with a strong, locking snap.

The Aonic 3s comes with a wired communications cable 3.5mm and a bag for carrying. The cable has a remote control for volume and playback, as well a microphone to make calls hands-free. You'll receive a kit that has a variety of sizes and sleeves to personalize your Aonic 3. This kit includes black foam sleeves and gray flex sleeves in sizes that range from small to large.

4. Sony WF-C500 Wireless Earbuds

The Sony WF C500 Wireless Earbuds offer a great alternative for those who wish to try true wireless headphones but don't want to spend an excessive amount of money. These earbuds have a small charging case and excellent audio quality. They also sport sleek design, which makes it simple to connect them to a smartphone. However, they do lack certain features that are essential for a wireless pair of earbuds, such as active noise-canceling and transparent mode.

The earbuds are made from matte plastic. They are slightly bulky look that funnels down to drivers topped with silicone tips. They're also IPX4-rated for water resistance, which makes them suitable for use when cycling or running. They're not as lightweight as some other alternatives on our list however they're small enough to fit into a shirt pocket and are comfortable in the ears for extended wear.

Control is managed by the aptX / AAC-compatible Sony Headphones Connect app.
