If you're looking for great-sounding headphones for a reasonable price then take a look at these closed-back models. Their soundstages aren't as large and immersive as those with open-backs, but they still deliver excellent audio quality with a high level of high-quality.

These wireless headphones are comfortable and provide an excellent level of ANC. The headphones come with a companion application that includes EQ presets, and a replaceable coiled cord.

HD 600

The classic pair of open-back Sennheiser headphones is among the best headphones in the price range. They provide excellent audio quality, comfort and replaceable parts. They have a large soundstage that accurately portrays the vocals and instruments, but could be a bit lacking in bass for a few. Some listeners may find their slightly bright sound irritating.

The HD 600 is a lightweight headphone that is durable and comfortable. The HD 600 is made from a combination of metal, plastic and Velour. Its headband is padded with foam, and can be easily secured to the ear. The cups can be adjusted to fit even larger heads. The cable can be detachable and it can be replaced with a larger version if needed.

The headphones require an amplifier in order to function properly. The amplifier will make the frequencies more balanced and smooth and will also reduce distortion. Use an audiophile headset stand to keep them from being damaged by foreign objects. The headphone stand keeps the cord out of the way. This is good because it's long.

The spacious design and headphones sennheiser open soundstage make them perfect for audio systems at home. The HD 600s are compatible with many audio sources, including vinyl, CDs and digital files. They also have an excellent frequency response and their neodymium-based magnets deliver superior sound.

The only reason that the HD 600s don't score an 8.5/10 is because they can be a little too bright for some users. However, they are one of the most popular and recommended headphones by reviewers. This pair of headphones is an excellent option for those who want to upgrade from the standard headphones that come with their portable electronic. The cost is a bit high, but it's worth it because of the quality. The HD 600s are an excellent investment for anyone who is an audiophile. They are also a great option for those who wish to listen to classical music because they can reproduce the specifics of the performance very well.

imageHD 650

The HD 650 is an open-back headphones designed for audiophiles. They have a neutral frequency that lets the listener take in all the details of the music without being overwhelmed by bass or other frequencies. They are a great option for mixing engineers that need to hear all the details in their mixes and want to avoid fatigue that comes from listening to headphones with a strong emphasis on certain frequencies. The HD 650 headphones are also above average in terms to consistency which means that they sound the same regardless of where you wear them or the way you place them. They are not as consistent in the treble range, and you may hear a 6dB difference depending on the shape of your ear and how you wear them.

The ear pads and headband are made of a soft and comfortable material which makes the HD 650s suitable for long periods of time. The headband offers a decent amount of cushioning to ensure it doesn't place excessive pressure on your ears. the large elliptical earcups fit comfortably around any shape of ear. The earpads allow plenty of air circulation which helps prevent your ears from getting hot during long listening sessions. The headphone weighs only 269 grams, even without the cable. It can be worn for long periods of time.

The headphones feature an elegant design and are constructed with premium materials. The headband and over ear bluetooth headphones pads are made of soft resilient velour and foam which makes them comfortable even after long listening sessions. The headphones come with a removable OFC copper cable that has low handling noise, sensitivity to sound that is structure-borne and low noise handling. You can use it with premium stationary hi-fi gear as well as mobile devices.

The HD 650 is an amazing pair of headphones. And even though there are other headphones out there that have more impressive specifications however, their quality of construction and outstanding audio quality make them an excellent choice for those who want to listen to their music in a true, uncolored soundscape. They're like paintings - you might not like every individual color the artist chose but you'll still be able to admire the whole picture for its beauty.

MOMENTUM

Sennheiser's MOMENTUM headphones are one of its most popular active noise cancellation (ANC) headphone models. The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones are a great option for ANC headphones. They have a solid track record and come at a reasonable price.

The ear cups are padded and designed to comfortably fit around your ears. The top of the band, which goes around your neck, is encased with soft leatherette. I found it comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the band is flexible enough to allow for glasses which is a nice feature.

In contrast to some rival ANC headphones like unlike some ANC headphones, MOMENTUM 4 Wireless sound is more balanced than overemphasizing bass or highs. This is a positive thing because it gives you a more balanced representation of music and speech. They do veer slightly into the realm of higher frequencies that are boosted but it's a typical feature of headphones targeted at commuters, where outside noise can compete with low-level music and speech.

The MOMENTUM Wireless noise reduction is superb similar to other top performers in the ANC category. It's not quite as good as the top ANC headphones we tested however, it is close. You can also defer projects by two clicks until the next quarter making them a great option for work or school.

You can connect the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless to any device using Bluetooth, and you can choose to use SBC AAC, aptX, or aptX HD codecs. The 3.5mm connector on the headphone can be used to listen to music sources without Bluetooth support.

The MOMENTUM Wireless comes with a microphone array that allows users to make and receive calls. The microphone does a decent job but it's not going to provide the highest quality audio for phone conversations. The microphone is still superior to the ones found on many entry-level headphones.
