The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.

imageDuring testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot auto vacuum cleaner is one of the best-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or nearest go for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We like the statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could want. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum cleaner with mopping that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners need.

Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and nearest furniture from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

imageOn the top of the screen, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences.
