Saab Key Programming
Saab cars built since about 1994 have an immobilizer system that is based on codes for keys. A new transponder is required in order to enable the addition of an extra key, and special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a Tech2 diagnostic tool.
The problem is that this could be quite costly. It is recommended to always have a spare set of keys in your possession.
Transponder key
The transponder is a piece of key that is equipped with an electronic chip. This chip sends a signal when the key is put in the ignition. The car then checks the signal to see whether it is identical to the one that is in the key. If the signals match, the car will unlock and start. This is a great way to prevent auto theft and keep your car secure from thieves.

After the columns and rows are joined after which it is time to connect the key switches. To do this, place a diode across each key switch pin and solder it. This will shield the pins from current and prevent them from being shorted. Jumpstarting the battery
The majority of people have a set of jumper cables in their trunk to use in an emergency however, jumping a battery on newer cars might not be the best idea. These cars are equipped with a variety of digital and computers that communicate with one another. A voltage spike when a battery is hooked up to another can fry these components, rendering your car undriveable.
Connect the cables to the vehicle that is operating. Allow it to run for two minutes. Attach the red clip to the positive terminal of the good battery. (It will read "POS" or "+".) Attach the other end to a clean unpainted metal surface under the hood of the damaged vehicle. The engine block is an excellent alternative. Do not connect the black cable to the negative terminal on the dead battery because it could ignite an ignition source that ignites gasoline in the engine bay.
